Next Generation Learning Journey
learning journey
Freedom and knowledge to choose.
In Norway, three out of four firms are family owned. In other words, many relatively young adults today face the opportunity to join or take over what the previous generations created, developed and in which they invested their money and passion. The next generation has the freedom to choose their own responsibility and participation, or, to opt out.
How can a 21-year-old student or a 30-year-old working mum make the right choice about the best suited role in the family company. How can they take the responsibility for the legacy of their parents and, often, grandparents? A choice that ought to be right for today and the future?
Today's young adults have more freedom and choice than any other generation before them.
However, freedom also means large and small choices and we need knowledge and safety to make the most of these choices. We believe that knowledge is key. Knowledge that ensures an in-depth understanding of what a choice entails, how it can influence and challenge us and contribute to value creation in society.
Through numerous dialogues with generations of owners, we have developed a program with a purpose: to bring knowledge, insight and inspiration to the younger generation, to help them judiciously use their freedom, and make the right choices about their own role in the family enterprise. The program provides opportunities, support and team building activities with exciting start-up companies and innovation clusters.
Welcome to an experiential learning journey - for the next generation of family enterprise owners!
