The Family Board Excellence Program
Provide the board with a common foundation for long-term value creation
A tailored and future-oriented program for board work in family businesses.
In family-owned and other long-term enterprises, board work is about more than structure and formalities. It requires a deep understanding of ownership, relationships, generations, and the people behind the roles.
Together with the Scandinavian Executive Institute and INSEAD, Nordic Family Office has developed The Family Board Excellence Program – a program that combines world-class international board expertise with Bridging Impact; our unique methods for connecting ownership, human insight, and systemic thinking.
The result is a complete platform for professional board work, tailored for family businesses and rooted in Nordic values and international best practices.
The program combines:
- Two modules led by Nordic Family Office, focusing on family ownership, long-term value creation, self-insight, and relational capacity, based on our philosophy and program series Bridging Impact.
- A six-day international board program delivered by the Scandinavian Executive Institute and INSEAD across two modules, one of which is held in Norway and one at the INSEAD campus in Fontainebleau.
What does the program offer you as a participant?
- A holistic understanding of the complexity of family-owned businesses and how this affects the board and its work.
- Bridging Impact; knowledge and tools that enhance your personal and relational capacity as a board member and owner. You will better understand your own and others’ patterns, enabling you to connect your personal attributes and family values with the company’s strategic direction, and strengthen the interaction within the board and between owners and the board.
- World-class international board expertise – a program of the highest quality that consistently receives top ratings from participants.
- A strong network of owners, executives, and board members with a connection to or interest in family ownership.
Who is the program for?
- Current and future owners in family-owned businesses.
- Board members seeking deeper insight into family ownership and governance.
- Senior executives responsible for interacting with owners and boards in family businesses.
